Objective
To raise cross-cultural awareness and foster a sense of advocacy for what it means to be a member of a global citizenry.
CPSOA will accomplish this by:
- Travelling with a team of doctors, surgeons, carpenters, social workers, and pharmacists to
Arusha, Tanzania, to be a part of an exciting consciousness raising experience involving AIDS
education, research, treatment, and therapy. - Participating in school visits, home visits, clinic improvements, and education/therapy classes.
- Working with 200 children at an AIDS orphanage to improve living conditions, implement an
after-school arts program, and use Arts Therapy to assist the orphans in creating a live piece
of social theater that will encapsulate their issues concerning AIDS, poverty, and loss in order
to generate understanding, healing, and awareness. in third world countries.
